Navy or white?

This tunicky affair

Tell me which colour to buy. I am incapable of decisions. I am fair skinned and have reddish/blondish hair. I know Fat Face are dead wanky and overpriced and frankly contemptible, but they do nice stuff! And I have some birthday money. Sorry - I'll stop making excuses in a minute.....

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 12:05

S'nice isn't it? But I can only have one

White.

Disclaimer-I live in Australia and am therefore years behind fashion wise.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 12:11

Ah, but savoy, I live in Cornwall and am therefore far more behind than you Grin

I do actually prefer the white but the navy would be more practical.....

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 12:33

Hmmmm. Though the good thing about pure white is that when I spill bolognaise sauce down myself which is what will definitely happen, I can bleach it.

I like the white one best.

MiladyBrochTuarach · 25/05/2012 15:55

I would agree with the white, tis for summer time and white is super summery. Plus, as you said, there are advantages to being able to bleach it.

But... the blue one won't show the dirt so quickly..

Not being very helpful really, am I? Grin

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 17:48

Thanks laydeez.

Depends - would you wear white trousers or a skirt? If you will, buy the blue it will go better. Otherwise get the white. I love a crisp white top.

whackamole · 25/05/2012 18:02

And I LOVE it BTW!

thereinmadnesslies · 25/05/2012 18:02

White.

Have u seen the 15% off code that's around?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 18:06

I would mostly wear it with jeans because that's what I mostly wear. White it is!

Yes, I am currently gazing in rapture at my 15% voucher. I am going to buy some shorts too.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 18:10

PS do you think I will look like the model when wearing it? I do

OP posts:
tunaday · 25/05/2012 18:22

You will absolutely look like the model when you wear it Ariel :) I love the white. It will look lovely with jeans.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 18:32

Thanks tunaday Grin

What do you mean when you say you'll bleach it?
The bleach stuff I buy is shit at getting stains out of clothes. What should I be buying?

whackamole · 25/05/2012 18:40

Without a doubt. Tis the magic of Distance Buying!

mirpuppet · 25/05/2012 18:45

I will be a voice of dissent the white looks very see through I would go for the navy.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 21:03

sarky, bleach for me is a last resort to get tomato and red wine coloured stains out of white clothing only!

The white does look see through I agree - but I fancy kind of razorback vests underneath. Though I am now leaning towards the navy Fuckitt - I'm going to have to buy both aren't I? And the second I do, the hot weather will be over and I will be back in fleece!

I bought the white yesterday and love it, I'm tempted to order another one.

As for bolognaise stains, hang it up in the sunshine and they will vanish like magic, as will any other tomato based sauces. I have to do this on a weekly basis with DS's polo shirts.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 25/05/2012 21:10

I wore it yesterday with a skin coloured bra, no see through-ness, but might be different with a white bra. It is fairly thick though.

startail · 25/05/2012 21:10

Wet and hang in sunshine, gets tomato out.

White now the sun is out!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/05/2012 21:13

Really??? Is that true about the tomatoes and sunshine? Blimey. And red wine?

MN truly is the font of all knowledge.

Not sure about red wine, he's only 8....
