omg my linen trousers are not a good look but what to wear?

I've known for a while that linen trousers are not popular on mn, but couldn't see the problem until today... they are not flattering, why has it taken me so many years to see this, they make me look bigger and after only an hour have become baggy and i look a scruff.

I'm unsure what to wear when its too hot for skinny jeans, my legs are pale and i can't be bothered with tanning, so its easier to keep them covered, i would also need to shave daily if my legs were on show something i don't have the time for. Are all chinos baggy? the ones i've tried have been.

Milky white legs yep thats me too :) I did not to get my pasty pins out so tried Garnier tanning moisturiser it has given me a slight golden skin tone whick looks like natural tan.

shave your legs (2 mins), slap some fake tan on (5 mins), and wear a skirt! it is nice to feel the sun and air on your legs

What's wrong with a bit of pale leg? A longish skirt is def the coolest thing in summer and there isn't much leg on show.

The only long trousers (other than jeans) I wear in summer are walking trousers which aren't baggy but not exactly S&B

I have the same issue. I just caught sight of myself in the mirror and could have cried. Baggy crinkly and show up all lumps bumps and wobbly arse. They are all going to the charity shop tomorrow.

I was thinking about going into town and getting a couple of Maxi skirts. I use nair on my legs because I'm way too lazy to shave. I just slap it on once a week five minutes before a shower.

Lightweight cotton or jersey maxi skirt or rolled up cotton chinos

But linen trousers with a fitted vest and some hot jewellery looks good. Linen is supposed to crumple so it's not like people think you're a lazy slut - they just know it's linen.

Are you sure it's not that your trousers have lost their shape or that you have altered in some way from the last time you wore them?

These ones are brand new - First time wearing them today. I just think they are generally a bit rubbish. Soooo cool (as in cold) to wear though!

My legs are so white at the moment they could potentially blind passing motorists. But I thought... Feck it, I'm pregnant, I'm hot and grumpy, I'm going to bloody wear shorts anyway. So I did :o

If you wear shorts for a few days in this sunny weather you'll get enough tan to make your legs passable.

Some people can pull off the crumpled linen look - I think probably the rest of you needs to be ultra-neat. And of course, remain standing while wearing them (leaning nonchalantly on rail of gin-palace 'yatch' ideal )

Reached for a light self tan (which I'm utterly crap at applying) so I can wear my near ankle trousers in chino colours and Boden style spring/summer colourful skirts. Im fooling no one though, cause right now, I feel exposed in them and wish I'd actually LOST those 10lbs.....instead of talking about it!
