Morning Ladies,
I've been putting this off for a LONG time now but since the change in weather I am starting to seriously think about it....
I've got to find an outfit for Ascot in June - corporate do - it will be in Grandstand enclose - so I've checked on the website and the rules are nothing strapless or above knee length...
I just don't do dressing up - I live in jeans and t-shirts - as most mums to 3 kids under 7 do!!!!
So - I need some HELP please....
OK - I'm 37 next month, blonde and about 5' 8" tall - about size 12 although I'm trying to loose a few extra pounds now.... I do like wearing heels.
I had a quick look around the shops on Monday with my Mum but nothing was jumping out at me......All the usual places - Coast, Karen Milen etc looked slightly weddingy.....
Has anyone got a similar predicament or seen anything WOW?!!!!
Not really to a strict budget as I've not bought anything for months so I can have a bit of a blow out.
Any help / feedback / recommendations most appreciated....
Thanks in advance...

tbh I think half of Ascot does look very similar to wedding attire! Have you tried Phase Eight? Their stuff is very good for that sort of thing.

Btw corporate enclosures tend to be on the grass, so avoid stilleto heels, with the amount of rain we've had, you will be sinking with every step.

I go every year, but watch from the common with the kids dressed in jeans and tshirt Grin

and we get closer to the finishing post than most of the PAYING visitors Grin

Hi Chops - really? Thats interesting - I've never been before so was wondering what everyone 'did'! OK that is a help so anything weddingy now isn't necessarily a no no then!
And so wedges may be the way to go then too?!!! I'm sure it will be a very different day out for me but I'm stressing about what to wear!...wish I could go in my jeans too!!!! I didn't try Phase 8 - I'll have another look at the weekend....Thanks for the help - I really am clueless!!!

Will you wear a hat? If so, it'd be very wise to start with that and choose an outfit to suit it - is usually a nightmare the other way around...

mm, massive marquees on the grass from what I've seen!

How does a red linen dress, killer wedges and this bag sound? Too bold?
