Anti Shine help?

Can anyone recommend a good anti shine product?

Have just seen some pics of me on a night out and my forehead - just between my eyebrows and my chin look hideous!

Have got a wedding on Saturday and really want to avoid the shine....any tips?

Boots do a matt moisturiser in the Skin Clear range, which is the best I've found so far for reducing shine.

I have the same problem, so watching with interest!

Using Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser has definitely made my skin less oily.

I will have a look at both of those thank you.

Any ideas for a quick fix for Saturday?

Will the moisturiser be good enough after one use do you think or does my skin need time to get used to it?

Bare Escentauls mineral veil powder is great for matifying without leaving the skin looking dull.

I am using lemon juice as a toner on my nose, then a really really thin layer of milk of magnesia over that. My nose is VERY oily, but I have found this significantly cuts down on oil production!

Try it and take some photos, I haven't yet so I don't know if the MOM gives bad flashback. Seriously though, I can't believe the difference lemon juice makes!

(It bloody stings though.)

BM has been good for me too. Mineral Booster from elf is cheaper and does a similar job. Before I started using mineral foundation I'd dust some of the tinted version over my liquid base and it took the shine off. Good luck!

Bare Minerals Minerals Veil -much cheaper from Feel unique or ebay than in store.

You don't need mattifying products, but oil, I recommend Dr Hauschka www.lookfantastic.com/dr.hauschka-normalising-day-oil-30ml/10543806.html.
Yes I know it sounds wrong to put oil on oily skin, but most products just dry the skin out or only cover the greasyness - the oil will actually help to normalize the oil production. Only thing that helped me and I had tried pretty much everything.

It's worth getting a primer too if you don't use one already. Bare Minerals do a good one. They now do a mineral veil pressed powder compact for touch ups during the day, it's brilliant!
