I'm out with a friend on Friday and possibly someone who has hurt me recently and let me down will also be there.
Any suggestions to help?I'm thinking of a dress and heels.
I'm 34,5'5,size 12-14 I suit dresses with nipped in waists,prom style I guess?
Open to any suggestions, will be getting my hair done, eyebrows threaded etc I just want to give him something to think about if/when he sees me.
Btw the night out had been arranged before I knew this person might be there and would still be looking for a new outfit but I'm feeling extra pressure IYSWIM

Erm, no help but I need a similar outfit for Friday too!

LordEmsworth · 21/05/2012 18:23

www.vivienofholloway.com are nipped in waists... but if you're not in London it might be a bit tight for postage?

Bluesue26 · 21/05/2012 18:36

Is it actually a strapless, poofy skirt type dress you're after? I really love those peplum style dresses that are out at the moment.

moonshine · 21/05/2012 18:37

How about the Hourglass Dress with/without sleeves in whatever your colour is?

Or the red Ascot which also comes in other colours.

LettuceLaughton · 21/05/2012 18:40

How about this, with this belt, these shoes and thsi bag, or the like?

moonshine · 21/05/2012 18:41

Or some other 50s stylee sexy dresses here

GnocchiNineDoors · 21/05/2012 18:52

Little Black (peplum) Dress from Oasis with selection of bangles and a little box clutch bag with gorgeous heels ?

Rodea · 21/05/2012 18:58

Wow what fabulous suggestions!!
I love the hourglass green dress Moonshine, that looks perfect!
And Lettuce I actually looked at that DP dress online but have got a few black dresses so for Friday I discounted it.
Any other similar suggestions very gratefully received, particularly for shoes or bags to match that style of dress.
Thankyou again, you seem to have found what I love but with some brands I have never heard of,I work in London so will definitely look at Vivienne as it looks great

The hourglass dress is great, but maybe a bit 'in y' face' for this evening out? You don't want to be too obvious, stunning and sexy but not, erm, too obvious.

these in black - yoiu need to click the swatch

these seem quite appropriate Wink

also great

pin up

and again

LettuceLaughton · 21/05/2012 20:04

this is nothing like we've been talking about but certainly Wow.

Envy at you going to vivienne.

lurkingaround · 21/05/2012 20:29

I've seen these sandals from Zara linked here before and if you've got good ankles, they're lovely.

moonshine · 21/05/2012 21:05

Ha, did you see Corrie tonight? Stella was wearing the linked hourglass dress with sleeves in cream! I think size of your bust would dictate how 'in your face' it is. Sleeves also help.

Rodea · 22/05/2012 09:07

Went back onto the website to look at the green hourglass dress and it's only gone and sold out now hasn't it?!
Thanks for all the suggestions for shoes etc
I am on holiday tomorrow from work so I'm going to Westfield to have a look-need a few bits if makeup as well.
I will update you as to whether the outfit gets the desired effect!
(he might not even be there so either way I still go out looking good!)
Thanks again ladies

As promised an update for my night out-if anyone was interested!
Got a beautiful blue dress from oasis in the end-but have bookmarked those sites suggested for payday!
The man in question didn't go after all,so had a good girly night instead but found out through mutual friends that he had no intention of seeing me again and had no intention of telling me rather he was going to just contiinue to blank me until he might fancy some sec and then he might call me.
Feel releived in one sense as I thought I was going mad in the last few weeks, been strung along basically,so at least it confirms he is the prick I had started to see him for.but also feeling bit sad that someone who I had got quite close to actually turns out to be a completely different character to what I thought he was.
We share mutual friends so it's inevitable we will meet again socially-don't know now how to deal with that when I happens.
This should be posted in style and relationships I think!
