Irregular choice shoes

I've only recently discovered the brand. Some look fab, some a little bit too "out there" but I like the concept.

Does anyone own some? Are they comfortable (i.e. do they fit comfortably in general)? Would you recommend them?

I like, among others, These these and these but I think the latter might be too high for me.

I had a pair years ago, they were supercomfortable - I think because they had round toes and were fairly wide, so suited the shape of my foot. They are so gorgeous - wish I could still justify the price!

FourYolksAche · 20/05/2012 20:46

I don't like them. They seem like they are trying to hard to be 'quirky' IMO, and are possibly the least sexy footwear imaginable. They're like 'look at me, amn't I kooky'.

Sorry but you did ask! Lots of people like them on here though.

Eglu · 20/05/2012 20:47

I love them. I don't own any YET. The first pair are beautiful. I'm sure I've read on here before that they are slightly small in size, and from recall trying a pair on that is correct.

Gauchita · 20/05/2012 20:50

Glad to hear they're comfortable, NinthWave.

FourYolksAche, no problem. Honest is good Grin

If I went for the ones on the last link I'd have to be sure I could take off the hanging animals. I love the shoe but I wouldn't fancy walking with something dangling and clasping away.

OP posts:
Gauchita · 20/05/2012 20:52

Oh that's important to know, Eglu. Would you say you'd need to go one size up? I'm usually either 6 or 6.5 depending on the brand

Babylon1 · 20/05/2012 20:53

I have 3 pairs so far Blush

A pair of flats which are really comfy; a pair of mid heels for everyday, red and White polka dots with a ladybird on the front and a pair of glittery high heels with cat brooches on the front.

I LOVE them and scour eBay daily for new irregular choice bargains!! I also like iron fist Wink

Babylon1 · 20/05/2012 20:55

Oh and they are slightly small in size. I'm usually a five and the flats and mid heels are ok in a 5 but for high heels I need a 6 Smile

redlac · 20/05/2012 20:55

I nearly bought the Trinkletina to wear at my wedding - I love the chunky heel and they look fab with jeans too however I went for the Red future ladybug ones.

I don't do heels but love these and I find thme v comfy

Gauchita · 20/05/2012 20:59

Babylon1 and Redlac, you both have the red ones I linked on the OP, right? Babylon, did you have to go one size up in those ones?

I'd love it if the red ones came in blue.

OP posts:
Babylon1 · 20/05/2012 21:03

Future ladybug - that's them!! Sorry can't see links on my phone!!

No I got my usual size 5 in these and thee are fine for me, I adore them!! Love them with jeans or whatever really!! Very comfy - in fact I wore them for a days shopping in London and then to the palladium to see wizard of oz (Dorothy red shoes, had to partake!!)

Truly beautiful shoes Grin

Gauchita · 20/05/2012 21:06

Great. I think I'm going to go for those ones unless I can find some in blue. I love the ones in the second link but that heel is much harder for me. I need chunky heels, I'm not a pro at all Grin

OP posts:
Babylon1 · 20/05/2012 21:08

I'm better on chunky heels too! Check out the schuh outlet on eBay and also very.co.uk as both have good deals on irregular choice quite often Wink

Gauchita · 20/05/2012 21:12

Off to have a look, thanks!

OP posts:
HappyGirlNow · 20/05/2012 21:17

Sorry, I think they're awful...

Gauchita · 20/05/2012 21:23

Schuh outlet has them in black only, pity. For some reason at Very some of them are more expensive than on the IC website Confused I'm still looking for some in blue

OP posts:
Dirtymistress · 20/05/2012 21:28

No no no no no! They're pantomime dame shoes. Grown women should not aspire to look like widow blooming tranny.

Gauchita · 20/05/2012 21:30
Shock Grin

ravenAK · 20/05/2012 21:34

I have the Miaow boots. I love them, but can't wear them very long because I don't normally do heels, so after an hour I'm hopping uncomfortably from foot to foot!

They feel gorgeous on apart from that, though - they seem to 'hug' my foot. Mmmm. Don't think they're particularly small - I bought an 8 as it was the biggest they had, & I'm often an 8 1/2 to 9 in anything that isn't wide fit.

Babylon1 · 20/05/2012 21:36

I think I make quote a fetching widow twanky Grin

Babylon1 · 20/05/2012 21:50

quite

carrielou2007 · 20/05/2012 21:53

Oh my goodness they are the lelli kelli shoes for grown women Shock I would not pay 70 pence let along 70 pounds for them! The words mutton and ankle bracelet springs to mind slopes off

DinahMoHum · 20/05/2012 21:55

i love them. I have these www.irregularchoice.com/shop/womens/product/2571/miaow.html?offset=19

i find the sizing correct.

lynniep · 20/05/2012 22:01

I have some of the courtesan shoes. They are comfy enough, but not spectacularly so. They are certainly wide enough not to pinch, and true to size. I think they are great - but you have to let them rule the show - I have only (had the chance to) wear them once, and the rest of of the outfit had to be black.

Gauchita · 20/05/2012 22:01

Grin at lelli kelly's for grown women. I could see that for some styles, like the third ones, but some others are quite "mild".

I like the idea of having a "fun" pair of shoes. Most of my shoes are formal/serious/conventional style (except for Converse ones).

I have the meiows in purple. I adore them, they are lined with crushed velvet and so comfy while just the right side of overstated! The ladybug ones are in my sights for when I'm not pg! I also love Iron Fist and IC sister brand poetic licence, which is less in you face.
