Has anyone got the LK Bennett Crocus Tote?

Hi, I wondered if anyone has got one and what it's like in use, eg does the strap stay on/slip off shoulder, does it fall over when you put it down, what the leather's like after a while, etc?

I have been lusting after one since it was launched, and have a big birthday next week and want to treat myself Smile

No help but just googled it and love the shape. Which colour are you thinking of?

Iceflower · 20/05/2012 22:10

Thanks Mae, I just want to have one in every colour Grin

I like the turquoise. I went in the other day to dribble onadmire it.

The saleslady said "You know that's £245" in a manner that made me slink out in shame.

Disclaimer I work in a shop, but i nevertheless recognise a major dose of being roundly patronised when it pours piss all over me Sad

mirpuppet · 20/05/2012 22:34

So rude -- if you buy it make sure she doesn't get commission for it.

EnjoyResponsibly · 20/05/2012 22:51

It's not so much that, but I really love it, I would've had to break the bank and use all my Christmas money to get it, and all I can hear is her voice and tone and it's rubbed all the pleasure I'd get from it right off Sad

I know what you mean. There is a Lk Bennett in my high street, and it was nearly 2 years after it opened before I dared to cross the threshold. I do get the feeling I'm being given the once over and assessed to see whether I deserve any attention. They tend to leave me to browse, oslo maybe I failed their test Grin

That is awful. I would never shop there again out of principle. I hate going into LKB, because they crawl all over me. No chance of an honest opinion in there, plus they are always trying to upsell you their hideous jewellery which is not my style at all.

Last time I was in I tried on a perfectly nice dress, which they just ruined by forcing me into matching K Middy nude shoes and clutch, and the most revolting necklace I have ever had the misfortune to clap eyes on. I was going to buy the dress, but the fact that they were trying to flog me over £400 worth of inappropriate extras irritated me so I left.

Ooh if I was a bitch I would suggest some choice words for the woman who said that, but I'm not so I won't! Very rude though. Angry

Rise above it, if you really love the bag don't let her small-mindedness spoil it for you. Go to another branch where hopefully the staff will be nicer and buy it there.

Decameron · 21/05/2012 13:04

How rude of her. It is a lovely bag and if you do buy it, go back and say to her "Big mistake. Huge!"

Iceflower · 21/05/2012 17:00

Decameron Grin, whistles tune

I agree with Amber, the sales people are rubbish, absolutely no chance of an honest opinion. Every single dress I try on there is gorgeous or wonderful or perfect. And they are usually stuck to my bum (owing to my mahoosive botttom) and loose on top so they are CLEARLY NOT FABULOUS.

I don't bother going there anymore.
