People have mentioned that you can go to a make up counter in a department store and get a make over. I think you pay but that money can be used against the cost of products if you buy them. How would I go about arranging this? Can I phone up the shop and ask? And has anybody done this and been happy/unhappy with the results? TIA

I did it at Bobby Brown and didn't have to pay anything. You just turn up at a quiet time and ask them.

Just go up to any counter and ask of advice - they are SO happy to have someone to put some slap on you'll be in that chair having your face plastered quicker than you can say 'Estee Lauder' Grin

Best one I've had was at Chanel - doesn't cost anything. It was at House of Fraser in Manchester, the same staff are probably still there 15 years later, nobody quits working for Chanel so I hear, apparently they are a brill company to work for. I dream of working on a Chanel counter!
