So, I am getting married next Friday. And I have nothing to wear yet! I am hopeless at styling myself and just kind of buried my head in the sand until now hoping the right outfit would magically fall into my lap.......as that hasn't happened, I guess I need to go shopping tomorrow - please please can some of the lovely S&B ladies give me some ideas for an outfit?

It's a very small affair with only a dozen guests, I don't want a "wedding" type dress but would like a pretty frock of some kind. I'm 5'6, size 10, 30 - any thoughts? Unfortunately I can't really afford to spend much more than about £200

Have you had a look at BHLDN? Part of Anthropologie I believe - here.

sweetheart · 18/05/2012 18:29

What sort of thing do you think you'd like - any ideas on colour or shape? What suits you?

Panicbuying · 18/05/2012 18:47

Emsyj, I love some of those- I can't do links but the Mycenaean one I really like; however looking at their shipping information I think I'm too late to get anything from there in time :(

Sweetheart, I don't exactly know, but I do like the one I mentioned above-I prefer not to have strapless and I get a bit worried about showing my legs because they're a bit vein-y although not a bad shape - I guess tights are a bit naff with something like that? I've also Seen quite a few lace type affairs on celebrities lately which were nice

Looking at BHLDN again and kicking myself for not sorting this out sooner!

Oh that is a bit poo Sad.

If you don't mind looking a bit bridal, there's Kitty & Dulcie? here

The stuff is bridal so might be too 'wedding' for you, but I can vouch that it's lovely quality - the company is owned by the same woman who started Flo & Percy (high end bridal hair accessories).

Emsyj, those dresses are lovely but probably a bit more bridal than I'd envisaged- I think I'd just feel a bit over the top n them if you know what I mean, as I normally live in jeans

Mrslettuce, if it wasn't for the rather large Wine beside me I think I would be hyperventilating at this point :o

Loving the grey one, John Lewis on the list for tomorrow too!

Ted baker is my go to for gorgeous dresses

I know you said not strapless but on this page florah and balfo are gorgeous or how about pega (one shoulder) or xril ted baker I've had to give the names as when you click on the dresses you don't get a new webpage so can't link directly. You need to click on show all too.

Or this from paul smith - I know it's over your budget but it's lovely Paul smith
