Going to a Studio54 party, what to wear and where to find it *London*

Hi all,

I have been invited to a fabulous Studio54 part next weekend and I need to find a dress for the occation. I am not old enough to remember this era and I have googled pictures and found beautiful glitzy dresses. I am not looking at anything Lipsy-ish since their dresses are definitely not my style but I would like something more classy but still disco.

Anyone has any ideas of where to get something good? Anywhere in London is fine.

TIA

Could you link to some of the photos you found? that'd help.

How about - monochrome, graphic print shift, maybe this, with some wildly glitzy, slightly 70's silver shoes, for example these?

Phase Eight, of all places, has a fantastic cross-over front jersey jumpsuit with wide legs that you could style up with really curly hair and platforms.

This is one of those styles I don't like: www.lipsy.co.uk/store/amy-childs-collection/amy-childs-janice-studded-halter-dress/product-is-JD01865_002. It can't look like I'm a member of the TOWIE crew. In my opinion Lipsy has a lot of those type of dresses and I realise some of them are very Disco-esque but I want something that would suit someone in their mid-thirties.

this? Hell no, that's a shocker. Nothing disco about it me either.

Ergh. Yuk.

MrsLettuce · 17/05/2012 21:55

See, to me, this is glitzy disco...

SwedishK · 17/05/2012 21:56

Thanks notnowImreading! I have checked them out and will go try one on.

Wow, Tethers. Wow!

I have one and I really really love it. Very flattering - but beware of going slightly too small as can look fantastic all over but give you a small but noticeable camel toe! I was all ready to buy the size 12 before catching sight of myself in slightly brighter light...Blush
