Please style me for a Spring party?

It's a day time family party.
I'm 41, size 12. 5 feet 6, slim build.

Ideally I'd wear long sleeved dress and boots - I'm always flippin' freezing.
Only dresses and boots I've got though are black which won't look right.
I hate having bare feet with shoes which limits me in nice weather.
Anyone like to be a stylist for me please?
Don't worry about budget - it's not limitless, but I'm just looking for what I could wear, I can find cheaper versions but I need the initial look.

What sort of colours do you like?

Anything except yellow or brown. I suit reds, olive green, purple, fuschia, navy.

OK, right, then considering the feet are the most difficult I'd say start with shoes you can handle and work up.

or can you mange courts and just not sandels?

How about -

almost fuschia pink dress, gold shoe boots and a white clutch. With thermals and non-shiney nude tights. Too space age?

or - either of these deep purple dress / deep purple with lace the red shoe boots from before and a gold bag. Too wintery?

I actually have the Phase Eight dress in navy. That maybe too dressy for the type of party - think village hall type of thing.
I like the shoe boots, they're a good alternative to courts nobody will see my ankle socks.

Okay. I have bought this dress and brighter blue tights.

It's a bit safe, but it fits my criteria (and it was bargainous at John Lewis!).

Jewellery and shoe/boots/shoe boots next to find - any suggestions what would look good?
