So, town-friendly waterproofs eh? Okay, try these:
Mountain Hardwear Epic
Rab Tempo
Light weight jackets, no lining, designed for the hill but with a town-friendly cut and price tag. I have the Epic, which I bought as a hill jacket, but now mostly use it in town only.
The North Face P8
The North Face Resolve
TNF make a lot of 'street' jackets like the two above. They both have drop linings and are available in a variety of colours. The P8 has a soft face fabric that is nice to the touch. The Resolve has a micro fleece lining to the collar.
Berghaus Skyline
Lightweight, longer cut, unlined. Cut with a slightly dipped rear hem, so you don't get a wet bum.
Sprayway Hydrolite
Sprayway Atlanta
The Hydrolite is unlined and cut shorter in front so it doesn't bunch up so much when you sit down/bend forward and with a dipped rear hem. A town-friendly hill jacket like the first two. The Atlanta is lined, cut longer in front and with a slightly heavier face fabric.
