the lady who lost all the weight has posted some fabby top shop jeans - i went on the site for a nosey and i cant make head nor tail of the sizes....they are all done by waist and leg measurement.

what would be the equivalent of a size 14 regular length please anyone?

I think a 14 would be a 32 waist. I buy them in a 32 leg which is a bit long and am 5'3-4. hth

I think you need a waist 32. (based on the fact that a 28 is an 8 iirc). Standard length is 30inches.
I find them true to size.

ruby22 · 13/05/2012 21:13

Cindariel my size 10 ones are a 28 waist, I also have some 12s which are a 30.

Cinderariel · 13/05/2012 21:14

Sorry 26 is an 8, 28 is 10, 30 is 12, 32 is 14. I think.

thank you. true to form the ones i want are all out of stock then i think - im about 5ft 31/2 inches....wonder what leg length i should get then - a 32? i like a little length in them, but obviously dont want to be walking on them - i like to tuck them into boots but also want to wear with ballet flats.

Vicar the online stock changes all the time, best bet is order in both lengths and return the ones that don't fit. Although the 32 length is a little long I meant more in a wrinkle effect, but not much of it and definitely wear with boots and flats all the time.

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/05/2012 21:27

thanks ruby. 14's do usually fall down but 12's on me give me a muffin top! saying that, im doing 7 days of nothing but WW meals.....ill see what weight i am next week!

I'm 5'5" and I need a 30" leg. 32 waist is a 14.

NewAndHopefullyImproved · 13/05/2012 21:48

Thanks Wink
Good luck with the weightloss!

Please try any jeans from Topshop on before purchasing. Read some of the reviews - the sizing is nothing short of bizarre, even between the same style/waist measurement from identical range. Great quality jeans though, and a good selection of leg lengths.

It says the size 8 is for a 25-26 waist yet a pair I recently tried on were two inches smaller than that! They also bag out really quickly too, in the arse department.

I am about the same height as you and the 30 leg is perfect.

Yes, Toppers jeans vary wildly between styles imho. Additionally, I would say that on the whole the sizing is small compared to other shops. So, if you were a 10/12 in most places then you wwould probably need a 12 in Toppers.

PropertyNightmare · 14/05/2012 09:49

They do do bloody fab jeans though. The printed ones are especially good value for the money.
