I want something striking but not Impossible to do myself.

Thanks!

When is the big night out? Have you got time to visit a make up counter somewhere for some advice?

There are some great smokey eye tutorials on YouTube - they might be worth a look?

Oops big night is tonight! I do own every eyeshadow colour known to man so hoping YouTube will save me!

I'd go for just one colour, then: a good strong one that you can just brush over eyelids, no tricky blending and underneath with a small brush. Pile on til satisfied Smile I like Urban Decay in Mildew ( I know, I know) Lots of mascara, neutral lipstick and you're away

This is what I do for big night out make up, I go for browns and golds because I'm boring because they go with my colouring.

  1. Apply liquid eye liner to top lid. I don't do flickies.
  2. Apply very dark brown to lid and into outer part socket
  3. Using a very small blusher brush (the ones about one inch across) blend.
  4. Apply highlighter to brow and inner socket with same blusher brush.
  5. Apply mascara and stick on false eyelashes.
  6. Reapply eyeliner to top lid - this also helps hide the join of the false lashes.
  7. Using a very narrow applicator, brush a little of the darker brown to the underside of the lower lashes and blend with little finger.
  8. Using very gentle strokes, darken eyebrows ever so slightly and blend with an old toothbrush.

Hope that helps. The aim is to have eyeshadow that makes your eyes look striking, not striking eyeshadow ifyswim??
