Ok so its a wedding thread. But for the sake of everyones sanity Im more than happy to pretend its a party!

Im size 18/20. Pretty much definitely a 20 to squeeze in the chest. Huge boobs, huge tummy, quite good legs. Im looking for a NICE dress that is flattering but doesn't make me look 50 (not that theres anything wrong with being 50 but I am 24). Ive considered the 50s route but feel like I should have bright red hair and pin up girl tattoos! Dark hair and blue eyes. Can't wear high necks. Please can anyone help? Ive refrained from posting as long as possible but ive got three weeks, the diet hasn't worked out as I thought and I am panicking!!! Budget is absolute max £150.

Thanks, and sorry!

Yoofing up!! Brilliant, im so stealing that phrase.

LOVE the navy dress. Thought it was a bit meh but now you've yoofed it up I can see that could look pretty fab. I love the bag and shoes. I had a pair of pastel yellow heels when I was 16 and have lusted after another for many years since then! I might do an order and see how the fit is. Ive got 2 ish weeks to play with (arrrrgh!)

That said, Im still going to go into town this week and find the new look black and white one, you have inspired me! Although I hate getting my lard arms out, what would you wear to cover them?

Thanks again, you have restored calm!

Glad you like it, it's always good to have a couple of options!

Right well, as for cover ups, well, TBH you'd be better off without. A bit of fake tan (and lots of flexitol in the run up, if you have those bumpy dry skin bits) would be better. Have you ever looked at someone and though "fuck, your arms are massive?" No. I suspect not. But yeah, if you really feel you need something then you do... Please no cardies though.

I'd say a black shawl / pashmina over the black, white and red set. White would be ok too but a nightmare to match. you could maybe get away with a blazer (black or white) but it'd middle age spoil it really.

Navy shawl / pashmina with the navy and brights set - matching the colour could be a PITA. An obviously darker navy would be better than a near miss at an exact match or a much bluer navy, IYSWIM.

Sound OK?

Oh, and I see I linked to the page of red belts - meant to link to the red suede obi belt (with slit). Most of the belts there were nice though.

im sulking at the no cardis.. but yes ok.

ah ok I liked the obi belts, thanks

I just snorted in the office at the fat arms comment, you're right, I never notice people's arms. They aren't bobbly, just shite. But ill do a few press ups yeahright and fake tan and it'll be ok

Agree re navy pashmina for pepperberry dress. Also after a few champagnes Ill think I have Elle McPherson's arms so I won't be bothered!

Thank you so much, I do really really appreciate your help. Ill let you know how I get on

Sending Thanks
