Evening Wedding Reception

I have been invited to an evening wedding reception, it is someone who my OH works with.

I would love to wear a dress, as always seem to wear trousers and blouses, but im not sure what dress would suit my pear shape.

I would be grateful for any help!

Something with a waist and gathered (or A) line skirt is always a safe bet for a pear, shift dresses can be tricky. Highish neckline often good. this sort of shape, for example.
