Help needed for low-key wedding

DH and I are finally going to tie the knot in August this year and we have just booked it. I have just ordered the dress I have linked to for me and I have three bridesmaids which is the tricky bit. I would either like them all to wear red or for my 15-year-old DSD to wear red and my DD, 3, and DN, 9, to wear white.

I cannot find anything I like for all of them and I need the help of the S&B gurus! Ideally each dress should not be more than £75 each. Can anyone please help me??? Or point me in the direction of some sites I might not have thought of?

And I need some closed toe, ivory comfortable heels from somewhere too if anyone knows anywhere I would appreciate it. I want to do all the shopping online as I am determined not to get stressed out by the wedding.

This is my dress (if I lose at least a stone before the wedding!!)

tiddleypompom, I just tried gorgeous.com and it definitely wasn't a dress site! And I tried www.gorgeousdot.com and that doesn't exist! Do you know the exact web address please and I will have a look?

red cowl neck. Might need taking up, model is 5' 10".

a bit like the pink but red

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 06/05/2012 20:44

Can I ask what size the 15 year old is? And is she a "grown up" looking 15? I ask this because my niece is 14 and looks 21 whilst my friends 15 year ld stepdaughter looks about 11!

I have to say...I wouldnt have a grown up type 15 year old in a gorgeous red frock next to me on my wedding day...but maybe I'm a wicked old witch!

I would choose something like pale blue.

MadameChinLegs · 06/05/2012 20:47

This is what I would go for, if it were me.

hot pink dress

grey littlie BM dress with hot pink flowers would co-ordinate very well with the above older BM dress

hot pink closed toe shoes for you

Try BHS, lovely dresses, and very reasonable.

I recommend ordering online though. The ones in the shops tend to get trashed through over handing.

I bought in a variety of sizes, and then returned the ones I didn't need to the store.

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 21:02

TheHouseontheCorner - she is on average a size 10 and I want her to look her age but feminine and pretty not sexy so I might have to rethink the red thing as often the options are a bit too sexy. She is stunning, truly beautiful (she is my DSD so I am not obliged to say that!!!) and I ideally I want it to be a dress she can wear again.

MadameChinLegs - I love the pink idea and both of those dresses, which I should have spotted considering I have been on Monsoon's site all day. The shoe thing for me is a good idea too, except I can't do straps as I have short legs and straps make them look a bit chunky!

OP posts:
MadameChinLegs · 06/05/2012 21:16

Ah, I am also short of leg. Got to be very careful with straps that don't go across the ankle.

Back to the drawing board Grin

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 21:28

Homeland finale break now and then I am going to order a few options!

Think tiddly was referring to ilovegorgeous.co.uk . It has some beautiful stuff for younger girls, but is probably out of your budget.

Not sure if its already been linked to, but this is nice for your DSD, and if the younger girls' dresses come in a bit cheaper then maybe it's a good option?

For the younger ones you could probably buy plain white or ivory flower girl dresses, then attach a wide ribbon in the red as a sash. Would probably take the hassle out of it a bit.

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 21:53

Scrambled - I nearly bought the debenhams one to wear myself! I LOVE it. I am not sure I am generous enough of spirit to buy it for DSD Grin

Those grey dresses with pink flowers are utterly beautiful and would look lovely with your dress, which is also gorgeous.

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 22:11

Thank you Remus. I haven't shown anyone in RL yet so it is good to know people like it!!

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2012 22:15

Might be nice for dsd? Or is it too pale?

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 22:27

I like the colour but I wonder if a straighter hem would be more classic?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2012 22:28

Gorgeous

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 06/05/2012 22:39

Wouldn't something like this be fun for your DSD? 50s style is sweet but also very now...you could have a similar shape for the little ones with a colour taken from your DSDs dress...

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 22:40

Wow! That is so gorgeous. I am going to order it in her size now so I don't miss out.

Thank you!

I am going to get the credit card out to order a few options from here. I love MNet!

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 06/05/2012 22:46

If you mean the one I linked to red then you'll need a petticoat separately to make it stick out like that or it'll just hang limp...they sell them too...or did you mean the one remus linked to?

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 22:51

My reply was to Remus by the way but TheHouseontheCorner, that is lovely but I am not sure she would like that.

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2012 22:59

And if she is a straight up and down 15, this is so beautiful that it hurts. I'm a size 12 hourglass so it would be a disaster on me but I just love it.

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 23:01

Which Ted Baker one did you mean Remus? The link has come up with a page of dresses.

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2012 23:04

Oh I hate it when it does that!

The 1st one is the dandelion print one and is called Xril. The 2nd is the ballerina shift dress.

reddaisy · 06/05/2012 23:22

DSD would love the Xril one but I can't afford that unfortunately. You are spot on with your selections for her though.
