What is it for?

How do you use it?

Is it any good?

Worth the money?

I thank you. Smile

It's lovely.

I use it as a moisturiser but you have to be careful cos it doesn't have SPF in it.

Megatron · 06/05/2012 13:05

Oooh it's a moisturiser? Would it suit dry/combination skin?

It's mainly used like a face mask to illuminate the skin for for occasional use applied as a thin layer under foundation. It brightens the completion. It's not meant to be used as a daily moisturiser.

Julialyne · 06/05/2012 13:15

Complexion

tunaday · 06/05/2012 19:13

I didn't rate it at all. I just couldn't see/feel much difference. Certainly no illuminating effects. I prefer primer for making my complexion look 'alive'. Just bought Smashbox photo finish and love it.

NagooIsBuildingAnArk · 06/05/2012 19:31

I was bought some for Christmas and I do like it, I use it over moisturiser and under make up, it smoothes and brightens my skin.

When I run out I will try some cheaper primers, but I would buy a similar product definitely. If they don't have the same effect I would spend on it :)

TooEasilyTempted · 06/05/2012 19:34

I use it over moisturiser and under make-up if I'm going on a day/night out. I do think my skin looks brighter and make-up lasts longer when I'm wearing it, but it does bring me out in spots the next day.

alemci · 06/05/2012 19:38

i use it too. not everday, and i think it is a good product and feels nice on the skin. you could be right about the spots though

Hopefully · 06/05/2012 19:41

I really rate it. Pat on a tiny bit before foundation and it really makes me glowy. Get compliments on my good skinwhen i wear it, it definitely makes a difference.

TBH I've got no idea if there are cheaper options that do the same - 1 tube lasts so long that I don't mind spending a bit and I can't be bothered to hunt for something cheaper when BFB works so well.

tiddleypompom · 06/05/2012 19:46

Often a freebie if you buy another clarins product - if not offered do ask. Then you can try before you buy or just use testers galore like I do because the big'uns are too expensive

hattymattie · 06/05/2012 20:43

Don't know what's in it but it seems to work. I use it over moisturiser by itself and sometimes as a primer under foundation. It seems to plump up the skin so eye bags are less obvious (although they also have a sort of flash balm for eyes). I don't think you can use every day though or it loses its effectiveness (waits to be corrected).

DinahMoHum · 06/05/2012 20:54

i cant tell any difference when i use it

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/05/2012 21:00

It rolls off in little sausages when I use it. Perhaps it's escaping from my skin, you know, in the sort of "No! No! She's beyond help - there's not much we can do for her."

Labootin · 06/05/2012 21:03

It doesn't work on me either I get little flakes coming off and it dries my skin out

Shame as it does sound fab and I really need it

mosschops30 · 06/05/2012 21:05

I dont really know what its supposed to do, it makes no difference to my skin.

I love the BD primer from Tesco (daily use), or the brightening treatment from Liz Earle or Clinique Moisture surge for a quick fix

rookiemater · 06/05/2012 21:06

Rubbish don't waste your money

Emo76 · 06/05/2012 21:07

rolls off my skin too - what am i doing wrong?!

NagooIsBuildingAnArk · 06/05/2012 21:12

maybe it is your moisturiser?

a lot of people rate the BD Tesco primer. I'm going to give that a crack when the flash balm runs out.

wheresthepopcorn · 06/05/2012 21:14

Does absolutely nothing for my skin. Just another expensive product to buy.

Hopefully · 06/05/2012 21:19

I think if you rub it on it comes off very easily. You have to pat it quite gently. I use it over a faurly natural moisturiser with SPF (House of Colour Naturals range one), have never had any probs.

kerstina · 06/05/2012 21:45

This came out twenty years ago didn't it ? I bought it years ago it did nothing for me but I had lovely young 20 something skin then so not sure why I bought it ! If you are going to spend that sort of money I would have thought something more up to date with light reflecting particles would have more of an illuminating effect.

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 06/05/2012 22:08

I love it but at the moment I'm trying lidl's version, it's the one in a small pump top tin, and has the light reflecting bits in. It's WOW, smells lovely and is so smooth on. At 1.99 tis a bargain too!
