Where to get socks that actually last?

Title says it all really Grin . I am fed up of having socks which last a few months maximum and then get massive holes in them. I don't mind paying more for socks that would actually last but so far all mine whatever I've got just fall apart.

Just buy some more Grin Socks are socks, get thee to primarni and buy 100 pairs for about 3p and then you can just break out a new pair if one gets holey. And buy all the same so you can mix pairs.

Do you have really rough skin on your feet? Might be causing the holes. I am the opposite - some of my socks are ancient!!

Pringles socks...brilliant. They sell them cheap in T K Maxx.

ToffeeWhirl · 05/05/2012 11:50

Hobbs. Best socks I've ever had.

silverfrog · 05/05/2012 11:53

I have some from M&S that are about 10 years old - was just thinking htis morning that they are looking a bit threadbare!

Pringles also excellent, and very comfortable. I got them in Costco.

Mrsrobertduvall · 05/05/2012 12:06

I wear men's m and s as I have big feet.
I replace them every autumn.

TheFarSide · 05/05/2012 12:30

My best quality socks are from Next - a bit thicker than the usual.

winkle2 · 05/05/2012 12:36

Another Next socks fan here :)

reastie · 05/05/2012 13:18

Definitely not a next fan here - got a pack for christmas and already 2 pairs have been thrown away Confused - maybe it's just me Hmm . May pop to tkmaxx tomorrow and search for pringle socks then

silver I expect 10 years ago m&s socks were good - they arn't now IME

H&M do some extra thick welly type cotton socks. Last years. I have some that are 15+ years old. Primark do them too.

Thick and warm but still fit inside normal boots and shoes. Perhaps wouldn'y want them on show though because the pair I am wearing at the moment have a donkey grinning on the front of them!!!

Yip Pringles last for ages

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/05/2012 18:52

Gap - their socks last forever. In fact dd2 is 15 and still wearing some that we bought when she was 7, though how she still squeezes her feet into them I have no idea.
