How do you find out about sales??

I'm having a baby boy in a few weeks and I'd like to buy as much as I can during the sales for the following seasons.

I thought there would just be a mailing list I could join, but I must be a bit stupid because it doesn't seem that simple!

I'm mainly interested in John Lewis, Gap and H&M. Does anyone else have any suggestions too?

Create an account for online shopping with any retailer you're interested in and you will be bombarded with emails including ones announcing their sales.

Use moneysaving type forums e.g. the Martin Lewis one where shopping obsessives will list the sales and what's in them.

Look on ebay for baby clothes from these brands, new with tags if you prefer.

Thanks mysteryfairy, I think the problem is I have purchased loads of things from these stores online and I suspect I ticked the, 'don't send me shit' box .

I was also hoping to just find a list with rough dates so I could pop it in my diary, rather than having to check my email.

Just googled and the John Lewis clearance started online on 22/06 and in store on 23/06 last year.

I don't actually think H&M and Gap have traditional big summer sales as such - they have such a fast turnover of stuff and they seem to constantly put a smaller selection on sale.

Zara is surprisingly lovely for children's clothes and have a once per season and pretty good sale which apparently started on 23/06 last summer.

Also Boden tend to have a proper sale with good discounts and whatever you think of adult's ranges the childrenswear is hardwearing - think this started at end of June last summer
