Bought Gap black slimfit cropped trousers but don't know what to wear on feet

Hello, I bought the cropped trousers after I saw rave reviews on S&B. I've got them on and so far have tried from my shoe cupboard,

New Look marant lookalike suede ankle boots (also a S&B rec buy) 2in block heel
Black suede shoe boots
Tan suede Ash cowboy-style ankle boots (2in block heel)
Suede loafer/boat shoes (flat)
Patent leather ankle boots (3 in block heel)

None of them look right and it's too cold to try them with my Boden slingback wedges

What do other people wear with their cropped trousers? Help!

ballet pumps for me, not very exciting maybe but at least won't look like you put on too short trousers by mistake.

Hearts that thought did occur to me . Looks like shoes/pumps are the way forward. When I did a desperate google, heels were suggested as cropped trousers make your legs look shorter .

For the school run I put on some flatties and they were the best out of all the other footwear I tried.

I had felt good about this purchase as I was able to buy a size 6 (US I know but it still made me feel good). I have quite good legs which I'm told are long, but I'm starting to regret cropped trousers as I can't find the right footwear!

I wear mine with small heels - currently these from Camper.

I think ankle/shin crops can look a bit stumpy with flat shoes, tbh - you've already shortened the leg with the length.

It's a bit parky for them at the moment, though.

I wear mine with ballet flats, slippers or heels. I have a slightly longer but still cropped denim pair that I can wear with my tan Ash Jalouse. I haven't worn mine for weeks as it is too cold for the right shoes.

And the moral of the story is, I shouldn't try to wear cropped trousers when it's too cold, duh.

Have changed to my Gap Curvy Skinny jeans, phew, that's better. Back to normal play.

Slight hijack but Gap's sale is RUBBISH.

Not the prices obviously but the quality is pants. I bought a 2 pairs - at 2 different lengths (short and regular).

So short is at my ankles and long hangs over my toes.

Has put me right off.

And back to the topic ... yes, in warmer weather crops with wedgy sandals are fab.
