Quick advice before I hit 'buy', can I wear this cardi over this dress?

I haven't had much look finding a navy cardi, will the french navy colour of the cardi look daft with the dress?

I think it will look fine. Not my first choice, as you say a navy card would be better, but it will still look good I think

Or, what other colour cardi could I wear with it? Is it navy or nothing?

I would personally go with a totally bright peachy red, or just red as a contrast. It I think any bright colour would be ok, IMHO navy is a bit boring. Sorry.

Does a navy dress need to be with navy or nude tights, is black a total no-no?

I have navy or black shoes that would go, if that helps.

What kind of a coat would you wear with a dress like that if you were just wearing it in the day with flat pumps?

Denim jacket always good to turn a dress into a casual day look. Love it with a big scarf if it's cold.

Look at. Woolovers for carries of all colours including navy. You'll have to Google, my hands are full of baby!

black tights is a no with a navy dress IMO, but with that dress I would say whether you wore tights would depend on what you had on your feet. With flats I would say no tights, but with boots you could get away with opaques

oh and I would wear a spring mac with that dress for the day
