Best place from the high street for natural but great make-up?

I'm maid of honour at my best friend's wedding on Saturday and we have to do our own make-up - she's instructed us to look as natural but dazzling as possible. I'm in need of some new make-up anyway so was thinking of going into town tomorrow and seeing if I can get some advice from one of the make-up counters in Boots or Debenhams and wondered if anyone had any advice? I went to Mac the other day and had a makeover but I don't think the lady knew what natural meant - I looked like a clown!

If it helps to know, I am a red head with pale, freckly skin. I've had my lashes done so won't need mascara.

Any tips/advice gratefully received!

Une at Boots does a great line. The eyeshadows have a lovely texture and stay put. Lots of warm/cool/neutral choices and very natural lipsticks.

I second Une. I really love the eyeshadows, the colours are really earthy and neutral.

Try bare minerals
