Feeling very round and fat and frumpy! Cant wear skinnies cos too fat. I'm a size 16 with a tummy. 37 years old, had 2 babies but they are now 5 and 8 so no excuses. wear same old boot leg jeans, ballets or converse, top and a card with a scarf. What can wear in the summer which doesn't make me feel fat and old! Haven't got the legs for knee length skirts without thick tights.

Please help wise stylers! :)

I've said sod it and got some skinny jeans and some leggings, long boots and a long top for the leggings. If it ever gets warmer it'll be skinny karki jeans and sandals (yes it should be stylish pumps or ballet flats, but I can't do no socks my heals feel like they are on fire)

I'd love some purple Converse, but all the younger, your age mums (I'm 44) already have themWink

Oh and I'm a too large 16, with the ambitious? Sim to be a comfortable 16 at the end of the Summer.

I see no sense at all in starving myself and then having to shell out for new clothes. I see a lot if sense in trying to look better and being more comfortable in the ones I've got.

I am a size 14/16 and wear M&S Per Una Roma Slim leg -plenty of room and stretch for legs to not feel suffocated and narrow enough to tuck into knee length boots.

What about maxi dresses ? some really lovely daytime styles around, wear with flat sandals and cardi ??

I tried 2 maxi dresses on in Dorothy Perkins but did nothing for me - probably need to buy better quality. Will try per una :)

Look out for empire line maxi dresses - these will hide a tummy, and emphasise busts.
