I really looking for some help with clothes for the office. My look at home is skinny jeans uggs/ballet shoes vests cardis scarfs etc, which I like and I think suits me. But at the office I struggle, I tend to wear trousers because then I can wear flat pumps, usually grey black or navy trousers, with a plain top. I wear boots with a skirt in winter. But I don't look stylish I look boring.
I don't suit fitted dresses as I don't like emphasising my bust.
The office dress code is fairly formal, but not suits.
I'd love to hear from stylish fellow office workers - what do you wear?

Bumping because I want to know too!

Dresses with opaques or nude fishnets. With a little jacket or a fitted trench on top.
Also I wear 7/8ths trousers with a patterned blouse (I am busty and find a print helps keep the eye moving ; ) )

Accessories help too, a nice chunky bracelet or cuff, stops the outfit looking boring

Thanks Gillybobs Smile

Any recommendations for style of dress - unfortunately wrap dresses make me look like a sack of spuds...

I like this sort of thing here which is quite tailored and flattering I find. I also like anything like this with a bit of ruching on the tummy here You could add a coloured short cardigan if the colours are a bit dull

Most of the women where I work wear trousers. You see the odd pencil skirt or dress, but smart trousers rule with an assortment of tops.

Heels and trousers.
A tailored shirt - try marks autograph or uniqlo
Loose long open cardigan with plain posh r short and long necklace. Capris and cropped trees. Gap black are v good

Zara pencil skirts are cheap and comfy.
Crew style cardigans for the Joan from mad men in you

KatieScarlett2833 · 02/05/2012 19:14

Pencil skirts to calf to hide my fat knees

Bought a couple of fab ones from River Island

Killer heels am shortarse

Variety of shell tops have nice arms and scarves

Fitted jackets to give illusion of waist

My work look is a bit BA stewardess but it works for me.

Good ideas - thanks everyone! Thanks

I'll have a look at Next, Gap, Zara and M&S Autograph, though i'm not sure they all do my size. I hadn't realised that Gap did anything other than jeans/casual.

Anyone know if getting shirts tailormade is good / not too too terribly expensive? I used to be an hourglass before having DC now I'm more like an apple but busty Confused
