itchy scalp after trying sulphate free shampoo and conditioner

Just tried L'oreal hair expertise no sulphates shampoo and conditioner and my scalp is really itchy, it is not cheap too £5.99 a bottle. Just wondering if anyone else had had this problem with this type of shampoo. What could be in it that is causing this?

i use a different sulfate-free brand (Happy Hair) and have never had any problems - perhaps the L'Oreal just doesn't suit your skin type?

ohh - i noticed the other day that Superdrug has a travel-size version of the Tresemme sls-free shampoo and conditioner. might be worth a try as less waste/expense if that one is no good for you either?
