Can anyone recommend something to cover up hyperpigmentation?

Hi I have two large patches of hyperpigmentation on my face which really affect my self esteem. I have tried the clinique stuff for hyperpigmentation with no joy. My gp prescribed me azaelic acid cream which you can only use for six months. Six months on it has helped a little bit.

I had an appointment with a camouflage make person but although the makeup covered the hyperpigmentation it was so heavy it was like a mask and if I smiled or moved my face cracks appeared in the makeup and I was just as conscious of the make up as the hyperpigmentation.

Is there any makeup or treatment that anyone can recommend. I feel so self conscious.

Could you have laser treatment of some sort?

Look on here

I would imagine any heavy make up would look cakey and over the counter stuff doesnt work for everyone.

I use dermablend on my scar, but I suspect that's what you'll have already tried.

Vichy Dermablend Stick. Good stuff.
