IPL machines

Has anyone used one of these home IPL machines and did you get good results?

I am think king about buying one but would like some advice from someone that's had one first as they are not cheap.

There are so many on the market, boots.com has loads on their site, how do you decide which one to get?

I have very pale skin and dark hair which j have heard is a good combination for IPL, is that right?

Yes that's the best combination.

I have the boots one but I only used it 4 times, the head was so small it took ages to do a leg so I would go for the biggest head size available.

I stopped using it as it took so long to do it, the cat wouldnt leave me alone while I was using it and would howl if we put him in another room and DH would complain the laser was dangerous (you have to close your eyes when you push the button).

It does reduce the hair though and I will most likely have one again someday when I can afford a better one.

You cant use it if you have used fake tan or naturally tanned in the previous 2 weeks.

Thanks, is the size of the head the reason for the difference in price do you think?
That would make sense I suppose.

I wasn't sure whether the more expensive ones were "better" at it?

Phillips Lumea is fab fab fab!!

I had IPL done in a salon and it had very very little affect. From a recomendation on here bought the phillipx one and it is just brilliant. Does take a while to do legs but yoou only do legs once every 4 weeks and then after a while just as top ups.

I bought it on Amazon as quite often they have them on offer at 280ish I think. Underarms are fab, not even any 'shadow' and I have been doing bikini line and after 3 goes the difference is amazing! Can't recomend it highly enough!!
