How does Uniqlo sizing come up?

I've had a look at the site for the first time today and there are a few things I like - but I've never seen the stuff IRL so not sure if it's on the small side?

Slightly large I would say. I am 10/12 and often buy their Small sizes.

soyabean · 28/04/2012 18:28

I should say 'always'. My favourite shop and I think just about everything I have is 'small': I am not small!

I think it comes up quite small lol

I am a 12 and bought 2 of their work shirts in medium and they were v tightly fitted (v nice shape actually) but like jUST the right size

Hmmm, I'm planning a trip to Westfields Stratford this week, and they have a Uniqlo.I'm a 14 top, 12 bottom. I'll see what goes.

Do they sell childrens clothes? (12 yo and a tall 9yo) ?

TIA

70 they just started selling childrens clothes again recently. When they first opened - must be about 12 years ago?- they did lovely tshirts etc for kids, but then stopped. dd had a sweet reversible fleecy skirt...ah (now 17!)
Showing my age.

I LOVE Uniqlo

I don't know how big your 12 yr old is but my 11 yr old girl fits into their small (last year she fitted their xs)

ScaredyDog · 28/04/2012 20:18

Is it me or is Uniqlo loads more expensive than when it first opened?

I remember my XP buying loads of really, really nice indigo jeans for a fiver or a tenner, something daft.

I thought it used to be a really cheap shop with decent but plain clothes, seems to be quite a bit dearer these days?

ChablisLover · 28/04/2012 20:27

It depends. I have a lovely cashmere v neck jumper bought ages ago in a
Sale and it's a large. But also have a merino tunic (again sale) bought 2 years ago and is an xs. I am a size 12 so I find it varies greatly.

gregssausageroll · 29/04/2012 00:17

I'd say pretty small.

Really annoyed with a recent pair of jeans from Uniqlo - quality excellent, perfect cut, but way, way bigger than specified in their sizing chart. The waist measured three inches more than stated, even on the item measurements part.

Returning is a hassle if you don't live near a store, but other than the sizing gamble I do love their stuff. They also make fabulous underwear!
