IPL for skin redness?

Has anyone tried IPL for skin redness on their face? I had a consultation today and apparently I have lots of blood vessels close to my skin, causing redness. IPL was recommended as a treatment. The price however is a bit high and I want to make sure by hearing other peoples experiences before I sign up.

Hi I had laser treatment for lots of small spider veins on my cheeks and nose - they were pretty tiny so just looked red rather than like lots of individual veins (thanks Irish heritage!). I don't know if it was IPL though.

I was told I would need two or three treatments but they actually all went after one. My cheeks are still a bit on the red side but not nearly as uneven as before. Apparently they do come back so it's not a total cure but I've been fine since my treatment a couple of years ago.
