ive booked to have a little bit in my nose to lip lines on saturday. Im paranoid about them and have been wanting it for ages as i think ive really aged in the last year or so. Im planning on not telling anyone and seeing if anyone notices.
Has anyone had it done? I was going to get botox at the same time, but i think ill leave that because its really just my mouth that bothers me

I had it done & it was great. My friend worked in a cosmetic clinic so I went as a model when they were trying out a new product. I want Botox too but can't afford it atm. I think it lasted quite a few months & gradually went back to normal. I'd say the look was subtle but I noticed the difference.

I'd be doing a LOT of research. There are something like 160 fillers used in the UK and only 6 are licenced in the US where they are classified as meds. I'd actually opt of Botox over fillers as its subject to more stringent tests as a medicine. If you want to go ahead then crack on but I'd want to know what filler they were using and it's safety record.

you cant get botox on the lower half of your face

Ok, but my point still stands. You call obv but I'd want to know what was going in my face!

DinahMoHum · 27/04/2012 11:08

yes i definitely need to find out what one they use. Ive called the place and theyre calling me back when they have called the doctor

I've had Juverderm. Really amazing and natural looking. I got a few comments like "you are looking very fresh". It has made a big difference but no-one knows what I have done.

Julialyne · 27/04/2012 14:07

I had Juverderm & it was natural. Pearlene I think it was called is used for deeper lines.

janebbb · 27/04/2012 17:53

I've also had Juvederm and it is excellent.. just plumps out the lines. I've also had Restaline - also very good. I like a bit of botox too :-O

SimplyTes · 27/04/2012 18:16

I've had J done, brilliant, it was a year ago and the lines on either side of my mouth are still not there! Did get some bruising though......worth it!

mosschops30 · 27/04/2012 18:23

I would love the nose to mouth lines filled.

I used to have botox all the time, loved it, cant afford it now so have a fringe instead Wink.

i think as long as you are going to a proper clinic and its being administered by a qualifed doctor or nurse then its ok. I would never have some beauty therapist injecting my face. One of the anaesthetists in work used to do mine.

Bluepetticoat · 27/04/2012 18:34

I've had fillers in my cheeks twice- it lasted a year.

My only advice is that you must choose someone good- mine were done by a dr who specialises in fillers and was voted "best filler" dr of the years by the Tatler magazine. I would never have it done by a beautician etc.

DinahMoHum · 28/04/2012 14:18

i had it done today. It looks fantastic, subtle - just like me a few years ago. Im really pleased. I also went for just a tiny bit of botox to see if it makes a difference, but that takes a few days to kick in.
