Tinted Moisturisers

I have combination/oily skin for which I have been using Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, toner stuff and her light moisturiser.

However, I find foundation sits really heavily on my face, so I invested in some Liz Earle tinted stuff (can't remember the name off hand) thinking it would be ok but actually it is heavier than foundation, makes my face feel sticky yet slimy and has brought me out in spots. So any recommendations on what I could use instead? As I've spent £££ on this LE stuff, I can't really afford to go too mad this time, especially if it's not going to work.

No advice I'm afraid but watching with interest as my skin is the same. The LE skin tint goes on lovely but also too heavy for me. I bet it's great if you have normal/dry skin.
I found the Garnier BB cream ok and am hoping to test the MAC BB soon as I think it has a decent SPF.

I find Benefit's tinted moisturiser 'You Rebel' brilliantly light but with a fair amount of coverage on my oily/combination skin :)

Get a makeover for free at any benefit counter in Boots/House of Fraser telling them you want to try the tinted moisturiser on it's own to see how it sits, and then you can decide whether to buy or not a £24.50 tube lasts me 6 months to a year depending on how frequently I use it!

I've got oily skin and have been wondering about trying the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint too - I've only started wearing makeup again a couple of months ago. I have tried Laura Mercier oilfree tinted moisturiser - liked it but needed the Secret Finish on top only one to two hours after application to stop shine. For the past few weeks I've been using Estee Lauder BB Daywear and love it. Slightly better coverage than the LM and keeps on top of the shine much better - I need a bit of powder after a few hours but find it's still looking fine at the end of the day. What do you think of the Liz Earler C&P routine and the toner and moisturiser wrt oily skin? I got the free sample in Red this month. It's very thick compared to other cleansers isn't it. I'm wondering if it is the hot cloth that makes most difference not the products? I've done OCM in the past with a red hot flannel and that had the same effect I thought & much cheaper!

I love the C&P and toner! I'm actually religious about it and use it twice a day. It really is lovely and people have commented on how much better my skin looks.

BB creams are the way to go now.

I recently started using the Nars tinted moisturiser from Space NK. I like it - seems to have enough coverage without being too heavy and hasn't brought me out in spots. I previously used Chantecaille - my absolutely fave tinted moisturiser (!) - but it's so expensive I've decided to scale it back a bit.

I never got on with the Benefit 'You Rebel' tinted moisturiser - found it too heavy on my previously oily skin as I was very shiny and spotty with it.

Does the Estée Lauder BB have decent SPF?

yes the Estee Lauder BB is SPF 35 - the other thing that swung in its favour. LM is SPF 20 I think.

I found Liz Earle too heavy for me, aged 40 with oil/combination skin. Aveda tinted moisturiser is best I think.

I use Nivea tinted moisturiser. Think it's about £4 a tube. Love it. Worth buying on to try out.
