I want a bob

Anyone know what's hot and what's not?

This time last year my hair was waist length, now it's below shoulder and I fancy another change!

i got a bob (from long) after xmas - nothing but great feedback from people, even really random strangers have complimented it. However, it was a bit of a shock to the system and i didn't take to it myself for a few weeks.
i have curly hair and style it as a 'shaggy' bob ie bits of curly, bits of wavy, some straightened bits.
i'd say do it, it's great making a change

I had a graduated long bob with a big fat fringe cut a couple of weeks ago. Front is just above shoulders & back about an inch down my neck (so I can still get it into some semblance of a pony tail on a very bad hair day).

They blow-dried it all sleek and Pob-like, which I frankly haven't been faffed with since cos it dries into a jolly nice shag which I just blast with a bit of spray wax and done. I love it. Quite liberating as I was previously very 'groomed' in the hair dept - all 50's rolls and pin curls. Amazing to look at but my hair was trashed.

Another bob fan here! I get lots of compliments at work and on the school run. Mine is graduated - sits on my hairline at the back and sort of follows my jawline at the front. I add interest and play around with it with highlights. The front section is also long enough to wear clipped back from my face for a different look.
The only thing I would say is that bobs are higher maintenance than longer hair as they require regular cuts to keep them sharp and stylish.

Thanks all.

Mombo I've always wanted to try the 50s pin curl look but it looks time consuming and painful to sleep in! Did you do it regularly?

Vintage I had my hair cut into a graduated bob in Sept, it used to be really quite long. So much nicer short!

I also do pin curls and the like sometimes, although my hair is naturally curly so most of the time I just have it natural. I do need it cut again, it's got a bit shaggy!
