I'm 28, never been into very high fashion but I like to have at least a vague sense of what's in season. Since having DS I've lost all sense of style, and have been spending most days in a 'uniform' of jeans and tunic tops! I'm size 12, trying to disguise a bit of a tummy and a lot of flared ribs from pregnancy.

What 5 key pieces would you suggest for me to start getting back into fashion?

Take a look at suburban style's blog ....she's young like you and might give you some inspiration HTH :)

Loving the suburban style blog dingdong just linked to, but should the first post say "I made the all important jeans switch from bootcut to skinny", not "skinny to bootcut"?

I'm wailing at the thought that bootcut was in all this time I've been told that they're mumsy!!!!

Fab, thankyou!

Why not also have a look in some fashion magazines, ot take a walk round a department store, to see what styles and colours are about at the moment?
If I was going for 5 key pieces to get back on track, they would be:

  1. navy stripe breton top
  2. Coloured jeans or slim fit trousers (I stick to blue / aqua shades but you are younger than me and so could be more daring!)
  3. Jersey blazer
  4. Wedge shoes or sandals
  5. Tea dress

scaredydog thank you so much for pointing that out. If I am going to bang on about things being "all important" I should at least have it the right way round Blush
