fab waterproof jacket

RockChick1984 · 25/04/2012 13:46

I got a nice one from sainsburys the other day, lightweight and fitted at the waist, it comes to about mid thigh. Only £18, I got it in navy but they had a few colours I think.

iWILLdothis · 25/04/2012 13:47

I just got this...and lovin' it. 2-in-1 means removable inside hoodie/lining so you're still warm in spring when you first shed your winter coat, but it's lightweight in summer if when it's warmer but you might get wet.

iWILLdothis · 25/04/2012 13:47

ooops link didn't work....

iWILLdothis · 25/04/2012 13:48

anyway, it's under "jackets/coats" and it's called 2-in-1 cotton parka

cardoon · 25/04/2012 14:25

Dingbats, is the Wakefield quite stiff?

Littlepumpkinpie · 25/04/2012 16:09

Merrell wakefield is the dogs whatsits for pram pushing!! Have to say the most waterproof coat I have ever know, water just sort of rolls off and looks fabulous (I have it in plum and black and the insulated version in brown). Great long sleeves so you don't get drips in the gap from leather gloves. Can't rate it highly enough hence buying three!!

mirpuppet · 25/04/2012 21:46

What is sizing like on the Wakefield?

I'm a pear so want to know if I have to size up to accomadate the hips.

carrielou2007 · 25/04/2012 21:52

I'd say pretty true to size, the large is a 14, I have a rather large bottom Grin and have put aabout a stone back on and wearing my size 14 jeans and skirts again and the large is just right without being tight. My M is a 12 and have worn it pretty solidly for the last 18 months just back in the L at the moment Blush
