Laser hair removal - how did you choose a place to do it?

Am very reluctant to pick a beauty salon with a pin - any recommendations? I'm in the south east/midlands kind of area.

I chose a high end practice recommended by a friend who had been to it's bigger sister practice in Harley St.
Endless sessions (12) with very poor results, so a big waste of money and time.

Turns out they had different machines.

I would always read any reviews posted on the internet and try and find someone who has actually been to the place and had the same procedure.
