probably fairly posh. Civil Ceremony and then dinner in the city. Have no further details at the moment!

What's the day/night temperature like then (obviously can look on travel weather sites but is the city stuffy or fresh (does the lake have much of an effect?)

What do people wear to Swiss weddings in general?

Zurich will be hot, quite muggy possibly unless you're near the water.

Cocktail style dress for you, men tend to be a bit more casual. Trousers with open necked shirt maybe.

Is Zurich a very stylish place? The couple work in financial services so I think there will be mega bucks going into other people's dressing up budgets. I don't have any issues looking less blingy but I don't want to be scruffy.

Not stylish exactly (there's a good reason it's called Sweaterland). You won't look out of place in a lovely dress/ shoes way, but dump the Fascinator

:o I get it now! I'll steer clear of bodice-and-skirt type dresses in case it too closely references the dirndl. (or is that Bavaria?)
