Has anyone tried any of the Creme De La Mere range?

... and what did you think?

Worth the money?

My skin is getting fried by the pollution out here, it's not like I can just pop to boots so I'm limited to duty free and websites that will deliver to Hong Kong.

Yes. It's the only product I've used that doesn't give me spots or eczema. But it's quite heavy and I had shiny problems using it in HK. Try a lighter lotion rather than the cream. And I think there's a gel too.

friend who works all over world swears by this, not sure if you can get it?

used it and loved it - very rich and made my skin lush..
Got rid of lines
No spots

But my skin is very dry and would imagine it would be too much for normal skin

I got the SPF15 face cream as a tester from the beauty bible and I LOVED it! Might not love the price though.

MrsBovary · 24/04/2012 14:57

Yes, I used the cream, but noticed little difference.

I've recently tried SK-ll cream, think it is similar price range, and found that quite wonderful.

ComradeJing · 25/04/2012 13:58

Yes, I suspect the cream would be too much for me as I have combination -> oily skin. I have heard it is incredibly rich but can never get that voice out of my head after I heard that beauticians can spot someone who uses CDLM at 10 paces because their skin is so good.

Is SK-II cream good for western skin MrsBovary? It's only ever marketed here as an Asian skin care range. There isn't a single ad I've seen using a westerner over here which is v unusual. Or am I getting caught up in some marketing scam that women of different ethnicity have different skin types. Hmm

Runninginheals I'm DESPERATE to try the SPF cream. I've only seen rave reviews.

Thanks for the suggestion cremeeggs, that looks good and I think it is at HK airport.

Thanks everyone else, great to have the feedback.

Didn't like the cream, too thick, but loved the gel, this one:

I love creme de la mer but the price means I can't afford everything I want.

MrsBovary · 25/04/2012 14:43

I didn't see anything about it being specifically for Asian skin, or indeed any ethnicity. I received a generous sample of SK-ll in my Harrods Glossybox last month (they stock the range), as did others.
