Anyone tried Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara?

I've read some good reviews. Just wondered if anyone here had tried it. I usually get smudging so I would love to hear if this doesn't smudge. I live Lancôme Definicils but it isn't volumising but ok if I put their primer underneath.

Yes I got it once but wouldn't get it again - the brush is HUGE and I managed to poke myself in the eye on more than one occasion.

Max Factor Masterpiece in the black tube though is great and you can get lots of lashes using it!

I was looking for a new mascara last week - i got the new max factor 24 hour false lash
it s absolutely useless - i wore it going out - had new outfit etc - when i looked in the mirror at the end of the night i had the worst black panda eyes - I was soooooo disappointed - I felt GORGEOUS all night (new kooples top fave jeans and heels etc)
the mascara is headed straight into the bin it s easily the worst mascara i ve ever come across ... and yes i know i should have tried it out a bit before wearing it on an important night but I didnt have time really. So so so disappointed.
Is there any point in brining i t back to boot s? It really didnt last 4 hours let alone 24 - it was all under my eyes - I dont know how -
Previously i had the 2000 calorie one and didnt have a problem with it but this stuff is crap dont buy it !

I've been using the False Lash Effect Fusion (in the purple container) for a good while now. The voluminizing effect is good, but it lengthens, too, which is my main reason for liking it.

Haven't noticed any smudging but I'm not the best person to comment as I'm not particularly prone.

I use th waterproof False Lash Effect as it really is the most waterproof mascara I've ever had. I get on with it very well but it did smudge a bit when I first started using it before I got used to the wand. Now I get lovely full, separated lashes. Always arm myself with cotton buds though and either a) load them up with Vaseline to clear any smudges if I'm not wearing eyeshadow, or b) load them up with the eyeshadow I'm wearing so I can colour/blend in any smudges

Also find that looking up at mirror when doing upper lashes and down for lower lashes seems to result in less splodging!

Thanks everyone. I am probe to smudging, I couldn't get on with 2000 calorie, terrible smudging & clumps. I also find that Max Factor mascaras have a funny smell. I think I'll go with Christian Dior iconic curl.

I find the False Lash Effect Waterproof pretty decent and not smudgy

I know that I am the minority here, but I absolutely love it! I have been using it for a year now, yes, the brush is huge but I love it, and two or three coats give me lashes which are so humongous that people asked me whether I got lash extensions or wouldn't believe that i wasn't wearing fake lashes. I never had any problems with smudging (but I always apply a tiny bit of loose powder under my eyes to prevent this, as with any mascara).

wildfig · 23/04/2012 13:02

Not in the minority - I love it too! I much prefer a chunky brush to the thinner ones with ridges on rather than proper bristles.

smallmole · 23/04/2012 13:50

I'm another nay, I'm afraid. The brush is massive, the mascara itself is really gloopy and I felt like it stuck my lashes together. Unpleasant. Smudged all over too - I had that awful black eye gunk within about ten minutes of putting it on. Not a fan, sorry.
