I have got problems with noise at night that is beyond my control. Could anyone suggest some really good earplugs? Without enough sleep I end up with dreadful bags under my eyes.

I got some howard laser lite ( I think that what they are anyway) on their way from ebay.

Really cheap and industrial strength ones, I find the cheap ones uncomfortable and dont block out the snoring.

From what I can see you need the highest sound noise reduction you can get, mine are 35 but I found some 37's after I had ordered.

Much cheaper on ebay.

Have a look on www.britishsnoring.co.uk

I tried their industrial strength foam ones but they didn't fit in my ears. I find wax ones best, although you have to be careful of a wax buildup.

I can't get to grips with the wax ones, they hurt my ears. I've bought some from Cup's site ^, once I'd cut the tips off (too long) they worked wonders.

In a pinch, I've used foam earplugs from Asda.

I use Superdrug. Boots I don't like.

If the noise was going to be longlasting I would consider made to measure ones - google it.

I find Quies foam ones the best. Make sure you follow the instructions on how to insert them properly, don't just try to stuff them in!

You can get silicone ones too. Boots do them.

Boots own brand WAX EAR MUFFLES. The only dead cert of a decent "days" sleep for a night nurse ! I couldn't be without them.

I've tried most of the boots ones and don't like them. The ones I like best are only 1.99 from Lloyds chemist. They are called Noise-x.

I think the quies foam ones are definitely the best, the only ones I can wear as I sleep on my side and most do the other earplugs are so uncomfortable.
