I would be grateful for advice on whether to go for Olay complete touch of foundation or Olay complete everyday sunshine.

I would like to swap my quite clear, but uneven (pale with rosy cheeks) complexion for something more even and sunkissed.I dislike a sweaty, caked or 'made up' feel.

Which to go for,and which shade would you recommend I try (if there are differing shades???) I understand the foundation one is a cleanse off,and the sunshine a self tan - I'm happy with either for the desired results Smile

Hope someone can help!!!

I personally would not go near any daily moisturiser with even a smidgen of self tan involved, streaky face/neck.....
Sounds like what you are after is a BB cream, there are plenty of threads about this, just pu BB cream in the search .

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 22/04/2012 00:49

Yes,I suppose the self tan option is the riskier one of the two, kaumana!

I really like the Olay 7 effects but the others are rubbish. As a starter I would go with the Garnier BB cream in light. It gives a light cover and "glow". Also on offer at Superdrug at the mo.

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 22/04/2012 00:58

I've just been looking at BB creams, and they seem to cover all the bases,so thanks for that kaumana.

If I were to go with the L'oreal one, would it be best to go for light,or would medium perhaps look better?

Sorry! X-post!

I'm off to Sainsbo tomorrow and really want to treat myself then, and I see they do L'Oreal.

But if its really worth it'I'd wait for Superdrug!

I've looked at the Superdrug offer and its a good price....

Go with a light one regardless of which one you go for. I would also get a primer to go under as they have a tendency to "slip". Plenty of threads to look at this as well!

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 22/04/2012 07:45

Thanks for all the advice kaumana Smile

I was awake until about 3 am tossing and turning thinking about this Blush (I am very lucky atm obviously to have nothing else to 'worry' aboutHmm)

I'm glad you said about only getting the light one as I was toying with getting a medium one to look more sunny.since I'm pale - medium rather than porcelain.

Well I got the Garnier BB cream. And I'm very impressed.

I got medium as there was no light left, and as it turns out that was a stroke of luck really as it suits my colouring well.

For anyone who uses it,its on offer in Sainsbo's at £6 odd at the moment....

I love to hear of a happy purchase Smile

valiumredhead · 22/04/2012 16:21

Olay complete touch is nice - I wouldn't use anything with fake tan in it.

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 22/04/2012 23:32

I'd be interested to know whether anyone has tried the Olay complete touch, and Nivea tinted moisturiser, and which they think is better.

I also got the Nivea in Sainsbo's today as that is down to £2.60 odd,and while I liked it,I wondered if the Olay is even better.

As far as a primer is concerned for under the BB cream, would the Avon Magi X do the job or not? Or is that something completely different? (its just that I've got that and found it completely pointless alone...)

Oh,and yes, many thanks, I have been convinced not to use self tan on my face.I wasn't worried about it going on wrong ,but its made me think about the fact that when I do my legs,it wears off unevenly.

I use the Olay moisturiser with a hint of Max Factor foundation in it. I have fair skin, and I use the version designed for fair skin.

It goes on well, even coverage, absorbs quickly, isn't mask-like or drying.

Shop around because its often half price in the supermarkets.

valiumredhead · 23/04/2012 11:51

It's very cheap in Wilkos if you have one near you!

MerlinFromCamelot · 23/04/2012 11:58

I use Olay tt effects with sunless tanner, very happy with that one, although I use the medium.
