Sea Salt quality in general is excellent. Really nice soft fabrics and worth the cost IMO. If you want a cheaper version, I can recommend Zara's version . But my first choice would be Sea Salt.

As for the Boden one...I just sent mine back. Thin, very bizarre shape and poor quality.

Boden Bretons Aren't.All.That. thin fabric, badly cut.

Uniqlo have a great one in heavy expensive feeling cotton, I am wearing it at this very moment. It's slightly longer than the others.

I love the Jigsaw ones and the H&M ones too - both of which are great quality. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Sea Salt sizing is generous IMO but not ridiculously so.

I have Seasalt breton tops for DS and the organic cotton they use is very thick, reeeeally soft and washes perfectly. Would recommend.

oh no! Have I made a mistake with the bretons? Looked as Seasalt one but was unsure about their sizing and didn't want the faff od returns. Gone for the Boden one in cream with navy stripe... currently no wait for my size. Will I be making a trip to the post office Hmm

It's this one shop.uniqlo.com/uk/goods/070866

Some how the picture makes it look more dress-like than it actually is, I'm quite short and it only comes to just the end of my bum cheeks!

Oh and I'm a 12-14ish with biiiiiiiig BFing boobs, I have the large and it fits nicely. I find Uniqlo sizes run small to true usually.

Ah, that sounds better, did look a bit long. What's the size like? Pretty much normal fit or generous or small?

Normal, in this crazy world where a size 12-14 is 'large'...

Report
JoyceDivision · 21/04/2012 22:52

I have a two or three year old sea salt top as does DD2 both going strong, lovely and soft.
Ladies sizes on the generous side as mine is a 14 and I'm very much towards the top end of 14/16

The Boden Summer Breton is not a good fit - had to send all mine back

Same, boden bretons went bag, baggy and shapeless but with oddly tight arms

I have an H&M breton like the zara one posted above and the quality is good, thick soft fabric and washes brilliantly.
