Vita liberata- is this the self tan holy grail or am I going to be looking streaky for weeks?

Has anyone tried this stuff- vita liberata pHenomenal 2-3 week tan? Bought it really because its peeing with rain here, freezing and I still have my big winter jacket on when I set foot outside so thought I would cheer myself up by "glowing"! However now a little nervous I may spend the next 2-3 weeks looking tango'd if I gt it wrong. Has anyone had success or otherwise with this product?

I've used vita liberata, but the wash off version. I get that you might not want to wear that version in the rain! But I am useless at applying fake tan and have had countless disasters, so its wash off or nothing for me. The wash off is very wasy to use - blends well, a natural colour and smells ok too.

Bump for this thread, am considering purchasing for hols but can't find any reviews except those from beauty bloggers who have been sent it for free!

Alwaysrunninginheels have you tried it yet?

chocolatespiders · 21/05/2012 19:47

I am tempted with this to or maybe Xen-tan?

notyummy · 21/05/2012 20:42

Couple of ladies on the W and A thread have tried it and approve. I bought but haven't had time to apply yet.

Am sitting covered in it just now after applying it again!!! Messy to apply but the results are great. Have used it quite a few times now and really impressed. I have the light one and it gives a fantastic golden glow to my skin. Just the colour it would go in the sun and have had no trouble with streaks at all. Am really careful to scrub well beforehand and use gloves and a mitt to apply. But I can say hand on heart I have never used a self tan I like as much- and I have tried loads. It doesn't smell and I can't say anything negative at all. I got told off when I posted about it before as I was told it was "marketing"! But I just love it!!!!

is it the 2-3 week one you are using.. did you buy online?

think i will take the plunge a make a purchase!

MrsCampbellBlack · 21/05/2012 22:27

Its ok but very very light and no way will it last for 2-3 weeks if you regularly exfoliate.

HouseOfBamboo · 21/05/2012 22:42

Why does it not smell? All fake tans smell surely - the smelly stuff (DHA) is what makes it work?

alwaysrunninginheels · 22/05/2012 06:45

I bought the 2-3 week and one did two layers initially and am topping it up weekly. If you aren't v pale then I think the light one might not show up much so medium may be better. I don't really understand how it doesn't smell and I suspect like perfumes etc it may be down to the ph etc of your skin and on mine there is no smell at all- whereas all others I have tried smell a bit biscuit or almond like! Have also bought the face version which has given me a light glow but isn't the initially dark (dirty) looking colour of the 2-3wk body one-but I use that more often! For me it works wonderfully as I found fake bake etc too dark and a lot of tans gave my skin a brown colour which I never ever go with the sun. This makes my skin pretty much exactly the light gold colour I go if we see sun long enough.

I bought the gel but don't rate it at all. IMHO it doesn't give any colour at all, gave away to my mum!
