I like reading style blogs, but a lot of them are written for "yummy mummies". Are there any blogs out there for older woman? I'm 52, not ready for "50 +" fashion yet. I would love advice on flattering styles for the over 40s.
TIA

Advanced Style is one of my favourite blogs. These women are much older - in their 70s in most cases. They range from the gorgeously chic to the gorgeously bonkers :o.

What about
lookingfabinyourforties.blogspot.co.uk/

I am probably the most "mature" (chronologically at least!) and as far as I know the only fashion blogger over 40 (but I stand to be corrected) posting daily pictures of what she is wearing. A Mum of three with a 13 year old daughter I am that typical sandwich generation - 28 years younger than my Mum and 28 years older than my daughter, trying to tread her way through that fashion minefield!

Does My Bum Look 40 is good - I love her style (if not her photography). But she's actually 39. (youngster!)

Thank you, ladies, I have spent an enjoyable time looking through all these and I'm definitely going to bookmark all the UK ones. Not sure I'm quite ready for advanced style, but those ladies are amazing!

Midnighthag I am only 41 myself but the Advanced Style ladies give me hope for a non-elasticised waist future Wink. I just love that they are so outrageous and incredibly beautiful. I saw a woman in her 80s walking through our village last week wearing her "spring coat" with matching hat and gloves and fell in love with her, so it's clearly not an NYC only phenomenon.

Thank you to whomever linked to Does my Bum Look 40. I love it. She doesn't do adventurous, clearly, but she does do stylish & workable for any age and I love her sense of humour. My own style veers between hers and my great passion for 30s and 50s vintage.

noddyholder · 22/04/2012 16:47

I think she looks good it suits her.

donotsquandertime · 22/04/2012 18:33
