Microdermabrasion V Diamondtouch Microdermabrasion?

Which is better? I have acne scarring, some age spots under my right eye and small pitting from allergy lesions.

I sound so hot dont I?

A good friend of mine got microdermabrasion for acne scarring and was only told afterwards that it won't do much to help and only laser treatment can really help acne scarring and redness. Laser is much more expensive though. She regrets wasting money on something that did very little.

I think there is crystal microdermabrasion and diamond microdermabrasion, I want to say that crystal is harsher, although you'd think it was the other way around? My friend has acne scarring and the crystal one has definitely improved her skin. I had the diamond one and really liked it, am going to go for a course.

What is it actually for?

It sloughs off all the dead skin on your face so you look more Britney than Whitney.
