want a wardrobe for work that is stylish and practical for work (i am a reception teacher) so need to be able to transfer to outside easily (can have trainer or wellies to be kept in work though), also need to be able to sit on the floor with the children as well as meet parents.
at the moment i'm wearing knee length skirts with plain tops, black heeled boots and thick tights but they're not very practical or comfortablei'm a
size 14 (trying to be a 12) 5.5" and 29. thank you a million times xxx

The 'cool teacher' at DS's school lives in flat boots, leggings and tunic dresses. :)

most of the staff at our school seem to have a "uniform" of black trousers

i think leggings might be a bit casual, maybe with boots, they just look like tights though?

Tights that don't flash your gusset when you squat Wink

I used to be a reception teacher- in summer I wore a lot of cropped trousers in black/navy or a colour (recommend you have a look at h&m for their 97% cotton/3% elastase ones) with vest and cardy or a nice top and ballet flats. In winter I wore dresses in a fit and flare shape that were just above knee with tights and boots. This shape much easier to sit cross legged on the carpet and pull material over knees and very comfy.

thanks for replies so far, i don't really know what fit and flare means Confused

Have just started job as classroom asst in key stage one.

I bought myself;

a pair of straight leg black washable trs from DP.
A pair navy straight leg washable trs from Primark
A black a line skirt in Warehouse sale.

I am wearing these with fitted cardigans (h and m do good ones), fitted fine knit jumpers, Long sleeved t shirts, stripy long sleeved t shirts,ballet flats.

I also wear jersey dresses with leggings and ballet flats, or flat boots if it's cold like this week.

Use scarves and necklaces to bring outfits together.
