onelily · 18/04/2012 12:23

Maybelline! They have a really good one. Check out their mascara too, its awesome!

Schmaffy · 18/04/2012 12:24

Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner is the best - fact!

Happy shopping!

Clinique cream shaper eye-liner goes on easily and stays on until you want to it to come off. I can't imagine ever buying an other eyeliner. (I like the Egyptian shade). To the friend who recommended it to me 4 years ago - Thank you.

If my recommendation is not enough, it got a good right up in the Guardian bty Salli Hughes. It was one of her top 5 eyeliners if I remember correctly.

Pencils are better IMHO especially the Bourjois ones.

ohhhh I didnt buy in the end I got tooo confused !
Bobbi brown has a lovely offer at the moment - includes eyeliner and mascara (i need both), there s an eyeshadow and a great brush. I nearly bought it but it s ££££ and eventhough i d love it thought it was too much. Had to get out of there quick - it s DH s birthday and want to get him present I ve been saving to get him! Couldnt blow it on a BB ggift pack .... And my birthday s not till December!
I m not convinced either re the mascara - i need to try mascara before buying as I get panda eyes v easily.
Get this though ... i usually wear bark brown mascara.... Girl on BB counter today told me 'we dont do dark brown because bobbi believes that it wont highlight the lashes like black does so there s no point in wearing it ' ...seriously?/ WTF??? is that true?

I have just stopped wearing black/brown Max Factor lash extension as I thought it was just too safe.
I thought it was subtle but now prefer black, however, whilst I agree with the BB lady it sounds a bit Hmm as any mascara makes a difference.

Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners are great

willybreeder · 18/04/2012 21:19

I'm a makeup artist and use black mascara on everyone, however on a client who had pale blonde lashes and wanted to look very natural I'd recommend brown.
Nice tip above about Clinques eye pencil, I love trying new products!
The Maybeline gel pot is good for the £ but does smudge where the BB and MAC ones don't. But don't spend your £ on gel liners until you get the hang of using them Smile. Stick to pencils.

i've just bought the BB one (pencil) in Hunter and colour is great but staying power is horrendous. I really want to return it as assistant says it was long wear and it all slid off within an hour. I only wore on top lash line and it all sunk down to below my lower lashes...this is on primed lids and no moisturiser...very disappointing, has the staying power of an oilslick. For £17.50!

Mrsrobertduvall · 18/04/2012 21:54

I have the BB one too and it bleeds onto my upper eyelid.
Waterproof my arse.

whitelillies · 18/04/2012 22:12

Lolo that s annoying - I would defo bring it back.
So a trip to Clinique is on the cards for lunch time. Thanks for the recommendations.
Now mascara ?... I don't believe in spending lots on mascara - I ve found even the expensive ones dry and clump after a while - either that or I get panda eyes .... So I m going to boots to see what the latest no7/ or equivalent is on offer.....
Unless of course someone wants to share their favourite......

I cannot live without Clinique Lash Power. Don't like anything else they do (apart from the perfumes) but Lash Power..that's my desert island mascara (only one that stays put on me)

Belo · 19/04/2012 07:09

Yes - Agree with you Lolo. Clinique Lash Power is the only mascara for me. All other ones I've tried are smudged by mid morning. Like the eye-liner, lash power stays on all day, and comes off easily with remover.
