Shopbop information please

Can you help tell me what the customer service and returns are like with this company? Have found great jeans but am worried if the size is wrong how easily can I return them. Thanks!

Returns are really expensive, as you don't get the customs fee back (whether you pay it with the purchase or on delivery). I tend to only order from Shopbop when I've tried something on in a uk store already.

How does the customs fee thing work? Think I've read on here that sometimes you pay it but sometimes you don't?! And how much is it? They're so much cheaper than in the shops, surely there must be a catch...(hopes not as has eye on some jbrand 811s)
