Which perfume best represents summer for you?

As a definite wintery fragrance wearer (I always plump for heady, oriental florals when buying perfumes), I am looking for inspiration for a new, summery fragrance. I am currently pregnant, so have also gone off a lot of my perfumes. However, it needs to be one that has great sillage- I hear that a lot of lighter fragrances wear off very quickly! Starter for ten- I quite like Chanel Chance. Summery enough?

Chanel cristalle eau verte- love it!

Fan di Fendi, the new one. 'kin gorgeous.

catsmamma I loved Lemon Drench - scent of my teenage years.

I like eau de jardins (Clarins) for the summer, Basil by Marc Jacobs and Voyager (I think) by Hermes.

Ooh Pinot I really like Fan di Fendi. I didn't think I would, but it really started to grow on me. It doesn't last very long on me though :( Was thinking about trying the Roberto Cavalli one as an alternative as that reminds me a bit of Fan di Fendi and is also v nice.

I wear Creed Virgin Island Water all summered always have people asking me what it is. Adorable!

Eternity Summer is really nice and I second Clinique Happy (but I wear that all year round). Some of these sound lovely!

Hi ladies! Thanks to all who replied. You gave me a few ideas, so I hot footed it to Debenhams (my budget wouldn't stretch to Creed perfume, so i avoided Selfrdiges). Anyway, I now have in my possession L'eau de Chloe. What a gorgeous scent. I like it very much. I may ask for Chance for my birthday, but this one will see me through the summer!!

This thread inspired me to look up Clarins Eau des Jardins and wow, I didn't realise it was so cheap - less than £30 for 100 ml I will have to try it when I am next out shopping.

I love the Estee Lauder perfumes but I think that Vanderbilt is one that always makes me think of Summer.

I wear Dune all year round but one I buy every summer is Coco Mademoiselle. I also buy a huge bottle of CK One for the boys.

I also love Elizabeth Ardens Sunflowers.
And neither Vanderbilt or Sunflowers are budget busters!
