it is a heck of a lot of money but shaving doesn't last and my recent purchase of an epilator has left me with ingrown hairs and horrible red bumps

I keep looking at this on the boots website and looking at the great reviews; I am a good candidate with pale skin and darkish hair.
I looked this morning and I saw they are giving 10% off hair removal over £100 so this makes the lumea £400 plus you get £27 worth of boots points.
I'm just a little bit worried that I am easy to suck into spending lots of money then don't get the results I hope for. I have bought countless things that others have raved about and then been disappointed.
I sound like a right ditherer
